Those who don't have an account associated with Office 365 receive a limited-time web-view link that allows them to read the encrypted message, together with an OTP. OME-encrypted emails sent by Office 365 users are delivered to their recipients as HTML attachments which required the recipients to authenticate to a viewing portal either by signing in with an Office 365 associated account or by entering a one-time passcode. ![]() The OME online service is built on Microsoft Azure Rights Management (Azure RMS) and it enables Office 365 customers to send and receive encrypted email messages via, Yahoo!, Gmail, as well as other email services that come with encryption, identity, and authorization policies. Microsoft is planning to roll out these new Office 365 capabilities and make them generally available to standard multi-tenants later this month. "The capabilities rolled out in this update include improvements to reduce the likelihood of mail servers marking OME OTP mails as spam."
